What I love about lifestyle portrait sessions with newborns is that new baby smell in the home that you’ll never get when photographing only in the studio. There’s also a sense of peace and so much love that is in the home of a baby just a week or so old, still so sleepy that they barely make a few chirps.
That was definitely the case with Baby Evelyn, who was just the sweetest for us the day of the shoot. I never get used to how little newborns are too – definitely a reason why newborn portrait sessions are so wonderful because you’ll never believe they were so tiny later! Evelyn was so small and beautiful, and fit just perfectly in mommy and daddy’s arms. Perfect for snuggling!
